E + M Book Club Fun w/Melody Hardin, Type 9

Typically when humans complete each new stride or embark on new journeys, there's a tendency to fall into Adonic adaptation and once again grow callous to those strides.

In other words, when we get the things we want, we start jumping onto a hedonic treadmill and want more and more for our lives...

Though at first glance, this may seem trivial, people often leave families or marriages out of this space...

I'm not in my ideal with this partner, I'm not self-actualized, and I haven't done it all.

There's so much pressure to be all you can be, people often turn to serious vices, which we've discussed at length here, to cope.

So how can you keep yourself on track?

Rest, pace yourself, and keep yourself refreshed. But don't quit on those you love or the good things in your life!

While we're processing goals all month here, we invite you to relax and pace with us on
this lighter show!

You don't always need the next thing. In fact, sometimes it's good for us to just take a pause and do something because of delight and rest so we can both appreciate what we have and also pace ourselves.

This E + M Mini gives you a chance to do just that! I'm joined by my literary-led daughter Melody Jane (affectionately dubbed Literary Jane by me!), Enneagram 9, who truly stretches us out for reminders to have fun with classical and modern lit both, as we share choice type-by-type non-fiction titles!

In the midst of the busy, we welcome you to just pause for a few moments of reading bliss together with us
right here as we walk through the pages of many of our faves for every Enneagram type!

And for a fun visual to keep you smiling, visit the Instagram Reel that Wes and I did with many of our non-fiction picks
right here!
