What Are Enneagram Arrows?

Sometimes when we learn about ourselves, there’s an awkward dance with knowing how to make movements to change. What are Enneagram arrows? How in the world can we use them to change?

This is what this deep dive listener-requested podcast episode is all about as we close out an E + M “semester” of learning on the podcast.

Trust me when I say the growth will take root more deeply as you learn about and implement your arrow work as you do your nuanced life, marriage, and personality work more deeply.

In fact, if you do nothing else in terms of personality work, arrow work alone can be a helpful mini-treatment plan of sorts!

Just remember as you do so, you need to incorporate both arrows in times of both stress and health.

In my life for instance, I need to go into my 5 zone first before using my 1 arrow to be less critical of myself and others. Then my main type 7’s effort and desire to feel and bring joy to others will land with a stronger impact.

I also need to use both of my growth paths to help balance some of my instincts and actions as a 7. If I stay in my 7 space all the time, I can be scattered and lack precision in my work. However, if I go to 5 to research and then to my 1 space to be more meticulous, my work is better overall.

It’s important that I include my 1 work and not just stay in my 5 space. While I can enjoy quiet time, research, and innovation, I don’t want to get stuck there, neglecting my family and friends. Yet, moving to my 1 allows me to bring in fairness and consideration to those around me.

Whatever your type today, listen in to this
talk as we delve deep into a raw, uncut, and hopefully life-changing episode on ALL the types specifically as we learn about the system of arrow work as a path for truly deep growth!
