The Rejection Triad: Enneagram Type 2, Enneagram 5, and Enneagram 8

harmony groups enneagram 5, enneagram 2, enneagram 8

The concept of the Enneagram Harmony Groups is not widely discussed, yet it can have A LOT to do with marriage, family, and relationships at large.

This makes it HUGELY important in understanding the differing worldviews we bring into our relationships

Some of us come from a place of elevated idealism (1s, 4s, 7s), others from grounded, comfortable, and earthy pragmatism (3, 6, 9), and others who base a lot of their worldview on helping in relationships as well as an avoidance of rejection (2, 5, 8).

Join me in
sharing our special harmony groups episode where we cover Harmony Groups efficiently but also as thoroughly as possible in our mini-series!

This episode particularly covers the types 2, 5, and 8. When we are in these spaces, and especially for those who identify most fully with these archetypes, rejection is a VERY big issue.

It's easy to be the first one to walk out in the 2 space...

To lean away from your partner in the 5 space...

Or to push back in the 8 space.

In other day words, I will reject you first.

We know all about these moves, and some of us have downright perfected them in the dance of relationships. Why?

Well for one, hurt people hurt people, right?

Rejecting others also initially has its reward. It increases a temporary sense of survival, but truly relating well with others with secure attachment is what actually heals, satisfies, and allows for longer-term healthy survival...

This kind of vulnerable living and loving is a risk worth taking once you learn what you're up against, and in this case of our 2s, 5s, and 8s, it's these rejection vibes.

Because the truth is, this group is ultimately highly relational and loves helping others.

Rejection only takes them farther from their people.

So let's help one another try to avoid these missteps in our desires for healthy love and life. Tune in to
the mini-episode to dive in with me on your break, commute, or fitness practice today!
