Parenting by Type: What can we each learn this year?
When we parent, it's not just about our kids getting help from us in terms of tangibles. It's about giving them the EQ - the emotional intelligence to know they can handle everything they come across.
This hope they get from us does not come from a vacuum - it's not automatic. Our words, however carefully (or unintentionally) curated, get internalized for better and for worse, and so doing YOUR work as a parent or future parent is so key!
As the kids go back to school, put on your learning hat with us here on this pod so you can truly do an awesome job! Our guest, Coach Kelsey Lincoln, MA, Enneagram 6, is such a gift on the pod to cheer you on!
In addition to her personality typing work, Kelsey studied intercultural relationships for grad school at Fuller Theological Seminary. She's also gifted as an Enneagram coach and understands cross-generational patterns, which makes me so happy. Parenting involves seeing the small details but also the big picture of the patterns from many generations that are not always easy to break. Type by type, Kelsey reminds us we CAN do good work together and change so much!
Join us as we go through type by type in finding the best ways to grow right here!!
