When Imbalanced Instincts Are Leading the Show

I know that it can be a bit dysregulating to enter mid-week without some strategies for your relationships, and it's a bit of a fun brain challenge to strategize as well!

More than that, however, you actually need more wholeness and intimacy in your relationships, and it can be SO frustrating when you feel like your spouse doesn't get who you are and what your needs are.

That in turn can cause your instincts to rise up in fear and self-protection, furthering the MAJOR feelings of incompatibility that often occur in relationships after the honeymoon.

In this pod, join us as we discuss how your instincts can throw off your felt compatibility - and more importantly - grab simple tools to get right back on track here!

This pod is just for you as we walk through ways you can overdo or underuse your instincts, and here's just a preview of a few ways perceived incompatibility can happen with instincts:

Are you OVERLY concerned about safety, health, fitness or money with the self-preserving instinct? (Or on the contrary, does your spouse feel like you ignore it completely?)

Are you OVERLY touchy and/or pushy in your desire for the sexual instinct, making your spouse turned off (Or do you rarely make time for intimacy and deep conversations?)

Are you OVERLY consumed with the social instinct, where you're rarely helpful at home in your quest to look good in the community (Or are you someone who's cut everyone off socially?)

There's no shame in admitting the struggle (we've all bounced all over here and there are reasons!) but at our best, we humans really need some moderate balance in all of these spaces, and here's the full circle truth - when we get this, we become more healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally, and our spouse and family can feel this attraction to us also.

So join me for this fun mini-episode to get your bearings back

You CAN do this, I believe in you and I believe your life will be better when you take a deep breath and allow for some healthier balance.
