Your Most Important Goals Across Types and & Seasons

This Enneagram and Marriage Podcast is one of those in which I feel like you and I are just having a cup of coffee and getting very real together…

(Mine is definitely decaf because I’m already energized and ready to share my best tips on goal-getting with you!)

This topic is so important in terms of nuancing your individual personality types, too! Because one of the BIGGEST mistakes people make when setting their goals is leaving their people behind in some way when they set them.

Each and every type can get too busy or too lost in their own comfort or too focused on the world. This is why
this podcast is the most detailed episode for you all month. I want to give you as many tips and advice on goal setting in the healthiest way possible without leaving your people!

Although during early adulthood, personal growth goals have the highest priority, it doesn't mean you should do it alone. Not only can it harm your relationships, but it also prevents you from getting support and help along the way. Bringing community into goal setting increases your chances of success and also builds trust and connection in your closest relationships.

In middle marriage, goals of sharing responsibility and childrearing are most important. However, that doesn't mean you should leave your spouse or family behind just because you're tired and busy. In fact, including your spouse in your goals help to establish a teamwork mentality that is so important in marriage!

As you enter your later adulthood years, you find your work is mostly done and your children have left the nest. If you have spent many years accomplishing your goals alone, you will be left without close relationships with your spouse and family. Ironically, these years are also when people retire and the closeness of marriage and family becomes the most important goals.

In this episode, I address all these issues through the lens of the different types. The nuances I discuss are from years of working with all the types on their most particular issues.

In other words,
this episode is kind of like your fine-tuned Monday motivational coaching session as you cast your vision once again with more clarity and connection!

Most of all, remember this. Your truest and most meaningful memories come from doing what you love largely with those you love.
