What’s underneath your surface behavior?

Soul care and self soothing are just standards for your individual work and also couple’s work and I was so happy to host Drs. Bill and Kristin Gautlierre of Soul Sheparding on the pod yesterday to talk with us about it.

The truth is, under every addiction or maladaptive behavior is a stubborn train track of old sour information that has curdled and stopped the fires of success from kindling in your life.

You need to nurture yourself - to kindle yourself in our “fire language” and to learn to “glow” with your spouse or partner before you can truly find the productivity and life you’re desiring. Check out our Glow Guides here!

Why is nurturing ourselves and our relationships so important?

The bare truth is, you may be good at staying busy or compartmentalizing, but there’s a cost since deep down you can’t lie to yourself.

You know, even if no one else does, what your secrets and perhaps addictions are - the reasons you stray from your best.

The good news is, you’re not alone and I certainly don’t want to shame you. Consider getting a coach if you need more support!

I want you to know soul care is available. You just have to stay honest with yourself and those you ask for help along the way.

My challenge to you this week as we aim to stoke your fires of love and purpose yet again is this.

Think about one poor coping mechanism in your life and look gently underneath to see what’s there. If you can’t tell, take it away for a day and you’ll know what it’s been doing for you.

And don’t forget to follow Soul Sheparding for more self-soothing tips. Drs. Bill and Kristin can be followed for their peaceful, soulful reminders to soothe you right here.
